Treatment Philosophy of Viera Counseling, PLLC

My name is Dr. Carmilla D. Solomon, Viera Counseling’s mission is to help adults by providing a safe, non-judgmental, racial and trauma informed place in which to find healing, safety, and acceptance. We do this through a lens that is decolonized, and liberation based with compassion, empathy, awareness. Everyone has a story to tell and everyone needs a safe place by which to tell that story. Viera Counseling offers that place. We recognize the importance of creating a dialog to address how mental health is deeply impacted by systemic inequalities. therefore, we have a goal of humanizing therapy and all its practices in a safe environment. Creating space for all clients to be seen, heard, emotionally held, and received in all of their vulnerabilities, to unpack and dismantle their pain, while learning new skills and interventions in which to thrive.
